One of the unforeseen (but totally predictable) downsides of this suit project is the need to iron. Wearing dress shirts (and not entirely willing to pay for a "wash and press" at the cleaners) means having to periodically iron shirts.

Thankfully, Dappered, one of my favorite style blogs, has a really excellent guide to ironing. Why, you ask, is it such an excellent guide?

The first step in their guide is: "Open a beer." Third step is to turn on some sports or a good movie. Thanks to Monday Night Football and Bell's Two-Hearted Ale, instead of "oh man, I have to iron," I've actually spent all day looking forward to ironing!

While some people may point to starting a family or accepting more responsibility or some kind of initiation ritual (which, of course, are completely valid arguments), I find that one thing that marks out adulthood is the realization that I can do certain things to make chores fun!
