After the first few weeks of this project, I'm starting to notice some results. At least, I think I am.
I have been seeing a lot more student attendance in office hours. This occurrence is really great, because I usually get very little attendance at office hours. So, that, if nothing else, is a plus. I feel like I am engaging with my students better. Weirdly, it seems like they are listening for attentively. While I don't mean to say that they appear to be paying active attention in class, they can all, in discussions about their papers, recall what we talked about and seem to be more willing to apply the models for given assignments to their writing.
I realize that's all kind of vague, but I'll think some more about it and see if I can clarify my point.
